Press Release Author: Christian Chew

Industry: Consumer Services

Press Release Summary: A new local company provides a free service for homeowners
that allows them to find great, pre-screened contractors in the Boone, NC area.

Press Release Body: Boone, NC -November 1st- Almost one year ago Christian and
Rebekah Chew decided to make a big change in their lives so that they could have
more control over their time and spend more of it with their two boys. The catch, of
course is that they still needed to earn an income. They decided to start their own
family business.

With a strong desire to find something that would help others, not just earn a
living, they decided upon a referral business for the home improvement sector. They
had heard many stories of problem contractors that had cost people lots of money and
time. They began researching the best ways to hire contractors and service
providers. The conclusion was that it takes a lot of time to research the
backgrounds, licensing, insurance, most recent job references and etc. of each
contractor.

Their goal was to organize a network of highly skilled, dependable service providers
and refer them for free to local homeowners who are looking for quality contractors.
They decided that they would initially limit their network to home improvement and
service contractors from landscaping up to building contractors and anything in
between. They plan to also include other service providers such as auto mechanics,
computer repair and etc. in the future. "Our list is always growing", says
Christian. "We are always looking for quality service providers in the area but
would rather say we have no one than send out someone questionable."

The business is in its first year and has been focusing on organizing the network
and letting locals know that they provide this free service in the High Country.
They provide valuable leads to quality contractors and service people in the area
that are looking for new clients. This allows the service providers to choose their
clients rather than the clients choosing them as with traditional advertising
directories.

Christian and Rebekah enjoy feeling like they can help the community find great
local service providers and have no regrets about leaving the long, away-from-home
work hours behind them. Christian worked as an Art Director for a "deadline heavy"
advertising and promotions company before they decided to take this leap of faith.
"We feel that if we focus on helping people we will continue to build our business
and make new friends in the area.", says Mr. Chew. With a 45% absentee ownership in
Watauga County many homeowners are at a loss when it comes to getting a referral
from someone in the area since they typically spend little time here meeting people.
